Despite the significant core and memory frequency advantage of the Radeon X1600 Pro along with the added pipelines, the card was only slightly faster than the 7300GT in 3Dmark2006. Overclocking both the 7300GT and X1600 Pro improved performance greatly, though the margin between the two remained much the same. The Radeon X1300 Pro on the other hand was considerably slower than both the 7300GT and X1600 Pro.

The Radeon X1600 Pro was significantly faster than the GeForce 7300GT, this time in X3: Reunion. Even through overclocking the 7300GT was unable to match the performance of the X1600 Pro. This gave the X1600 Pro an easy victory in X3: Reunion as the overclocked configuration was 37% faster.
