The Asrock Z87 Extreme11/ac took 3.96 seconds to complete the MonteCarlo work load, four milliseconds slower than the Asrock Fatal1ty Z87 Killer.

The Z87 Extreme11/ac was only one millisecond faster than the Fatal1ty Z87 Killer in our PowerPoint test, so it's safe enough to say both motherboards provided the same performance.

The MSI Z87 XPower pulled ahead of the Z87 Extreme11/ac in our 7-zip benchmark, while it was considerably faster than the Gigabyte Z87X-UD3H.

For some reason the MSI Z87 XPower didn't score particularly well in the Mozilla Kraken browser benchmark, taking 4383 milliseconds to complete the workload. In comparison, the Asrock Z87 Extreme11/ac took just 4243 milliseconds and the Asrock Fatal1ty Z87 Killer 4109 milliseconds.

Despite the disappointing Kraken results the MSI Z87 XPower came back to outpace Asrock in WinRAR, delivering 10626KB/s – the fastest Z87 results we have. That said, the Asrock Z87 Extreme11/ac wasn't far behind at 10565KB/s.

The Extreme11/ac matched the Fatal1ty and XPower motherboards, taking just 17.3 seconds to complete the Photoshop CS6 workload.

All four Z87 motherboards delivered virtually the same result in the Adobe InDesign CS6 benchmark, with no more than three milliseconds separating them.

The After Effects CS6 results were also very close, though this time the Extreme11/ac was a second slower than the Fatal1ty.

The Extreme11/ac completed our Illustrator CS6 workload in just 3.52 seconds, slightly slower than the Fatal1ty.
