9800gt or 250gts help

if your psu does not have one, you need to make sure you have enough power to run the new card, if it does, you then need to get one of these molex to pcie converters...seen here

damn i have only 4 pins in all the cables so i guess psu sucks too thanks any way all been in vain it seems

I think the card should have a 6 pin connector with it inside the box, even if your PSU doesn't.

i have 2 spare 4 pin cables other than that nother but tiny cables i assume for fans

what PSU do you have?
the 250 uses about 130W and 10A so you should really have 30A on your 12v rails (see the psu sticker for that) and add up the 12v+ amps on all the rails(if you have a multi rail PSU)

ouch, 350w is not enough to run the gts 250. that card needs a 450w psu minimum

thats same type of card but higher specs on the site im buying from (instore not online ) it doesnt have any info on psu for the gts gor the 9800 gt if i can power the gt ill have to just get that

:O price damn i might as well slowly rebuild my old machine if its this cheap and easy lol i have an empty lan party machine upstairs it went bso so i would need to replace all i think but its a mazzive case at least id fit it all in

the corsair would fit too may have to get that think if im changeing psu ill need a hand so will have to wait till old friend can help me with it

looks like hes gonna be able to pop round tomorrow so i will get a new psu tomorrow and have to get new graphics another week as im out of funds this week after 68 on the corsair
