The monitor ? This would be the ZR24w ?
If so, can you let me/the forum know what your evaluation is. The same model is available here at arounf the same price point in relation to other IPS panels (i.e. much much cheaper, excepting the ViewSonic VP2365WB, which is 1920x1080)

This would be the "Smart Buy" version of that number. I say this because there are actually 2 "ZR24w" models...! See the second model here at Newegg; http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824176165

I think that the "Smart Buy" unit is 8 bit color, and the more expensive one is 12 bit.

Anyway, I ordered the "cheapie"..; http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003D1ADUU/ref=oss_product

Edit: I don't know what the deal is with this monitor, it has two different prices at Amazon and at the Newegg link I posted, the "manufacturer' page" goes to the "Smart Buy" page which shows a big reduction in list price. I guess Newegg didn't get the new pricing memo. According to a review at Amazon the Dell U2410 is the 12 bit panel.

I'll probably be only too happy to tell you about it as soon as I get it.

I know you're down under in NZ, so I have no experience with your shipping companies, but Amazon is a ritual unto itself. They offer free "Super Saver" Shipping, then start talking 5 to 8 days to even get it out their door. I think this is to to psyche you out of taking the deal.

Anyhoo, they're talking about shipping it the 5th or the 6th, so with 3 to 5 day shipping, I should have it by the middle to the end of next week. If you'll now cross your fingers also, that may help.

Anyway, I have a 24" "Soyo" which has an MVA panel, (believe it or not), and is really quite good, and I'm hoping that this unit is even a bit better.

Anything has to be better than this TN Samsung POS I'm using ATM. A half an hour of adjustment got most of the excess green out of it, but you still can't use it to any good end in the vertical position, since the angle of view is so truncated.

Dell also has a couple of low price new >>E<< IPS monitors. This 22" 16:10 http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/...etail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=bsd&cs=04&sku=320-7825

And a new 23" 1080P that they're always out of; (no sense in linking it ATM).

I think that the 22" I linked is the best of Dell's 3 new offerings.
