Google updates Chrome 8, fixes 16 security vulnerabilities

  1. Google has updated version 8 of its browser. The update addresses 16 security vulnerabilities in the WebKit-based browser: one rated as Critical, 13 rated as High, and two rated as Medium.

  2. Sorry your story is wrong. As my Ubuntu 10.10 Chrome 8 "About" does not have any
    update" ....Pls either check your facts/statements or not post mis-leasing information.

    I had a stable version (that's all I install) of 8.0.552.224 on my computer before the update?

    mehhhh. tried chrome 8. didn't like it. Back to firefox....

    As the author noted, the stable build is expected to be updated to version 9 very soon. I'm using Chrome 9 Beta because it gets updated more often than version 8 and it's stable enough for day-to-day use and has no problems with any of my favorite web sites.
