Toshiba Satellite A55-S1063

Toshiba A55-S1063 Boot/Security Pass

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have Toshiba Satellite A55-S1063, and Upon Boot, before bios screen loads I get a Enter Password. This computer was bought from a guy who was told buy Toshiba that it needed to be sent in to fix the password prolem, it was booting up or down, and had a sudden lose of power and caused the it to ask for a password. He never entered/ or created a password of his own.

This is a common problem with this model, and others I have seen on the net. This laptop has had the numbers run buy Toshiba, and is not HOT/Stolen, it was sold as is buy the owner. He would not pay the $150.00 and send it in for repair.

So he sold it to my Boss, he runs a computer repair shop in town, and he told me if I can fix it, he'll let me have it, if not, he's may just sell it for parts.

And here I am, what I need to find is a Motherboard schmatics, or someone who can tell me where the EEPROM chip is located. And I know the risks of what I'm doing, if I mess it up, no big deal.

Was wandering if the paper clip idea would work on my toshiba?

Thats if I could locate the chip, among the 20 sum other 8 leg chips.
I was thinking if I look at, and write down all the numbers ect on these chips, could I narrow down the one it could be. Compair numbers, and rule out the ones that are simular or alike buy the numbers on the 8 leg chips.

Appreciate any help..............

Updated/ and corrected some spelling, still not a good speller, sorry.

I was doing some research, and saw that theirs something called Turnkey Password Recovery Service,Bye Password Crackers, how is this done. Do they use the USB port? They have my model listed.

If anyone can generate a password for a Latitude D630 that I bought on eBay it would be greatly appreciated. I just found out the paperclip method will not work since the 25 series EEPROM's are not shortable

Service Tag is: GFBFPD1-595B
Express Code: 35754718501

Kimsland or anyone? Thanks!

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {568C3A78-1D9C-4E06-A9AC-C68184567B7B} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\tuvTmKeD.dll
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {D2376FB3-3D0D-414D-83AA-3AD6AD6B111F} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\cbXrqpnM.dll
O20 - Winlogon Notify: cbXrqpnM - C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\cbXrqpnM.dll

These two .DLL's are your problem. Go into Windows/System32 and once in the folder locate either file and look at the modified date

Once you do that, click the Date Modified header at the top of the Folder view on the right top side. This will sort the files by Date Modified. Look for any other files that have the same date as those two DLL's I am sure you will find that they have weird nonsensical filenames. Delete any files that you can with the weird names and same dates, and empty your recycle bin.

It may also be a good idea to turn off System Restore while you do this, since the files have now been backed up

Finally search your entire hard drive by going to Windows Explorer, and clicking on your C drive and then pressing CTRL-F (for Find) Click on When Was It Modified and then Specify the date range to be the same as the file you found.

Click more Advanced options and choose Search System Folders , Search Hidden Files and Folders and Search Subfolders

Any files you find with nonsensical names should be deleted and the Recycle Bin emptied

I do this on an almost daily basis for my customers, and this always manages to get the files removed. You may have to boot into Safe Mode (F8 while booting) to remove all the files, buit it will remove the "bite" you got.

No, the shorting method will not work on that Toshiba.
$150 is a good price, as a new motherboard is $239... then you can sell it for $400+

Lazy DELL

What is DELL reputation for security?
A dozens paid services to unlock any Dell laptop and HDD. Try to google it and you can easily find some. I think Dell know well about it, but too lazy to fix this problem. By the way HP, Acer and some other brands have even weaker system. At least Dell master password generator still can't be freely download.
Nevertheless, new Dell models were appeared after years, but compromised password system didnt changed so far. Just neglect.

No, we have skilled tecnicians here trained to short the EEPROM and other chips.

Our code generator cost plenty. And I assure you our engineers know how to use it... as we do similar work for corporations and aerospace engineers, here and California. It costs us nothing other than the origina cost.

The Government D610's are no different than consumer versions except that they are all passworded, and the passwords are removed when they are remaindered out for trade in or resale. When one is performned by Dell authorized by Dell, they send the code on disc, by certified express deliver. It only works on one drive. But as far as I know, all password work is done at Dell... not by field reps. A "Dell rep" is really an independent contractor who covers a territory and gets the job, one at a time, just like real folks. Talk to the Dell on-site people to see why they charge $250 to fix a password. The computer or drive is shipped to Dell. This is to keep the system secure, and the reputation for security sacrosanct... Because, as you say, what good is a security system if it is easily bypassed. This is why weI know the drive fix you described are not done by reps. They are only done at the Dell shop.

Perhaps you can tell us the brands and models you have heard about?

quote____ dbpk........ i have all the solutions for toshiba, dell, sony laptops, just contact me.

I thought this guy was able to help, and had a solution, dont waist your time. He e-mailed me, and was asking for $130.00 western union, for the fix. Yeah right......

no free solution yet for Dell Dx30 series, u need to buy password or contact dell

And I am sure you are willing to sell the password for, what was it someone said? $130 Western Union.

I have seen posts that state that you work for Dell, from you, and that you won't issue Dell Passwords because you are not allowed, yet I guess for $130, you will make an exception and look the other way while your system generates the code, huh?

If I EVER find that 595B password generator, you can be sure I will post it up for others to use FREELY. And I am actively searching all my sources for it, including trying to contact a buddy of mine who works for Dell, and see if he can't get me a copy. Heck, I may even take a part time job as a DST just to get the software.

I make a nice substantial living off my computer business, and my US Military retirement check, I don't need to gouge people who have already paid $500 or better for their JUNKTOP...oops I meant Dell Laptop and just want to be able to use the blasted thing, without having to go farther in the hole on it.

Please note: Anyone who comes here offering password removal at a price, will be banned. No exceptions.

Although I do respect your past information, that you have freely provided. Some of it being extremely helpful to others.
I have felt for a long time that there were some underhanded transactions taking place. (not just you either) that have been difficult to confirm.

I have advised Moderators and Julio of your admission to payment required
And expect that your membership is now in jeopardy.

I would also like Julio to post a reminder comment to others that may be doing this here at TechSpot

like a poor sheep,, some members r preparing me for sacrifice...!!!:dead:

I'm sorry if I got you introuble, maybe I should have keept quite. But it seems if you have a solution to all our troubles you should give the information freely.

Alot of people like myself dont/cant afford to pay a price to fix a computer that should not have this problem in the first place.

Some people make a password, and some of us dont, it just happens then were stuck with it, and are black mailed buy the computer manufactures to fix the error.

If someone can give the information to fix our laptops, maybe something good will be bestowed upon you in the future.

And the reason I say this, is because it's better to give, and help others, istead of makeing yourselves rich off other peoples missery/ and missfortune.

That just makes me want to puke. You have been capitalizing on this, and now you are the poor sheep being offered for sacrifice.

I am sure that if you get banned here, you will just continue on to another laptop board, and offer your services to the unsuspecting members there. BUT SO WILL I. In my hunt for this password, I have become a member on several sites, so I am sure we will meet again, DBPK

There are always people who capitalize on others misfortunes. The coyotes who run illegal aliens in to the US, the white trade slavers who take women from poor countries and force them into prostituion, the drug dealers who prey on people as young as 8, and of course, people like you, who offer help for those who have been stuck with a POS Dell at a price on top of what they already have paid.

People like you make me wish the Lubyanka was still taking "guests". I have been in this line of work for almost 36 years now, and in the beginning, knowledge was shared freely, without cost. And still is, in some places. Thats why places like Sourceforge, and the Open Software Foundation exist, so that we still can get free access to software.

OH, and I WILL find that password generator. I have been in this trade for so long, I have a lot of access to overseas sites, dump sites and other underground locations for software. If it exists at Dell, it will exist in the wild. I just haven't found it yet.. But I will.

LOL, that's the LEAST of my worries, RayBay. If I ran my list of certs here, people would think I was bragging. Suffice it to say, when I find it, I WILL make it work.:D
