Passwords
I do not know which upsets me more, a guy like dbpk who openly asks for money, or a Dell "Mouthpiece" like raybay who backs up Dell and their Password policies, and puts out BS as he does about a method which works with about 85% of the older machines before the Dual Core/Core 2 Duo machines, and the CMOS Battery disconnect on the others with the exception of the Dell Inspiron 1000.
Even the Dual Core/Core 2 Duo and later machines will allow the resetting of the Service Tag, which will eliminate the Admin/Configure Setup Password with software only, but not the System Password. Folks with those need to either contact Dell or one of the many crackers who have a Password Generator for those later models. I have 2 of those. but will not post them here because of the moderators rules.
Incidentally, I have cracked over 60 boards and laptops with the latest a Dell
D810, which was bought and cleared after an experienced tech had given it up for dead. So no snobbery about "Experienced Techs" if you please.
