IE opening simultaneous browsers?

    This may be on these forums, but I can't find it so I apologize if it's covered.

    For some reason, within the last few days my IE browser (Vista OS) operates s-l-o-w-l-y. It's been fine up till now. I use DSL and a wireless router.

    I can do a task manager and shut it down, but then you see a second browser open all by itself and it works fine.

    Doesn't happen 100% of the time, but the majority. Any hints?
