The log doesn`t tell me anything.

It`s always a good idea to have the latest Sevice pack installed.

    Regards Howard :)

You can get sp2 by running Windows updates.

    Click start/all programmes/Windows Update

cheers, so I get sp2 first, install it, reboot, then install those graphic drivers and reboot. What about if the pc goes blank again, do I have to format?
  5. howard_hopkinso Newcomer, in training Posts: 25,949   +16

If the pc screen goes blank again, I suggest you take it in to a pc repair shop and have it looked at as there`s obviously some kind of problem, possibly with the video card or something.

Yes, install sp2, then your graphics card drivers and see what happens.

    Regards Howard :)

You need to install the Microsoft Net Framework from HERE, then run the installer again.

OMG I pasted that screen shot to you and was waiting and clicked cancel setup but it still just carried on and bloody installed so I went to add/remove programs and chose to install. It said it needs restarting to remove so I said ok, screen went blank again and I formatted again. bloddy hell

I really think you need to have your system looked at. You shouldn`t be having so much trouble installing graphics card drivers.

I havent got the time you see man, i need the pc for my exams, I dont know if this all because I aint activated yet but there isnt much point if these drivers wont work.

In that case, all I can advise, is you go back through the procedure in the previous posts and keep your fingers crossed. At least you now know what drivers etc you need and what order to install them in.

I think I have worked out whats wrong sir. Look at this screenshot.

It does that everytime man, it gets to 90 and then my internet conenction goes. Ok so after that I located the file for it and it asked me about if its ok to carry on because of the verifiying with windows. Now I clicked ok and my keyboard and mouse stopped working for a few seconds and it came up saying hardware might not work properly in the corner. I couldnt make a print screen of this for you as mouse and keyboard had got stuck. I am pretty sure there is a bug in the usb drive too because when I formatted on wednesday and then I was using it, it suddenly went onto some blue screen saying usb bug code error and it did that many times on my old one (as in before i had wiped).

Furthermore everytime I do that chipset installation thats what happens.

If you remeber, I attached the usbehce file for you yesterday, with instructions on what to do with it. It`s still there in post#24.

    Regards Howard :)

I think you are missing my point man :(, I located the usbehce file for it by going into drivers within system 32. After that it froze and my mouse and keyboard. However after a few secs they were back but it said hardware might not work properly.

My first point is why the hell does it talk about hi speed usb only when i am installing the chipset and two I think theres a bug in the usb drive.

I am sure of a problem, look at this, I put my pen drive in to load some work:

I`m really sorry bobby, but I don`t know what more I can do to help you. I`ve tried my best, but at every turn, something goes wrong and another problem surfaces. Either, there`s a problem with your systems hardware. your Windows disk is faulty, or you just don`t have the expertise to accomplish what you`re trying to do.

If I were sat in front of your computer, I may have been able to sort it out for you, or at least tell you what the problem was. unfortunately, that`s impossible and I really think you need to take the pc into a repair shop and have them look at it for you.

    Regards Howard :(

Man cant we run a utilitiy to check for the usb problem?. Come on man its not another problem, its a problem which has appeared everytime when I am trying to install that chipset.

That`s what I`m saying and I`ve said it quite a few times throughout this thread. You need to have your pc looked at at a pc repair shop. It`s quite possible you have a hardware problem. If that`s the case, no amount of messing about is going to solve it. In one your previous threads, I said it`s possible you have a drive problem. However, you never got back to me with the results of the hard drive diagnostic test.

I`m not a miracle worker. Some things I can`t fix by sitting at my keyboard and typing instructions.

    Regards Howard :)

Ok whatever you say :(. By the time the drive diagnostic test had done, my pc had to reformatted, its harldy my fault. Anyway I will just have it looked at after my exams. Is there anything in the meantime which will allow the screen to go down smoothly atleast. By the way you know the file usbenchi was missing, does that mean its a ****e disc?

Sorry howard, this is all my fault, I am just angry, sorry if I have come across the wrong way. :(

    Hi,

With regards to your PM, I'm not skilled in the area of graphics and hardware. However from reading the thread, I would believe that Howard has did what he could to help you. The problem here is just not as simple as it seems, so you would need to have it checked at a PC repair shop as Howard suggested.

If you can't scroll with your mouse, try using your keyboard.

As to your thumb drive, part of the problem could be simply the fact that it needs its drivers installed. Certain (very few I would believe) such hardware require manual installation as Windows does not have the right drivers for it to 'plug and play'.

    Regards,
    Your friendly momok =)

Yer fair enough momok, when I use pdf to view files, the screen flows very smoothly, I was wondering if there was something temporary like that I could use till I get this pc seen to.
