    ok, inteersting problem. I used the same cd to install an operating system on my laptop. There is no screen problem and yet when I type in dxdiag in run option, it shows that there are no drivers for the graphics card. weird.

    Are you able to find the drivers online? You can try searching in the manufacturer's official website.

    I DIDDD IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I installed the drivers again and it went screen blank again. So i pressed a button at the front of my monitor and it just came up. Everything is back to normal. There was no hard drive problem! it was a ****ty disc!.

    O so chuffed :D:D:D:D

    I forsee some problems when I go abroad from 14th to 23rd this month. I'll discuss with the other mods to see if we can sort something out because Howard won't be back so soon.
