Lame concept i think. If i have the games on my pc already i would rather just play them on there

Well it is good for those who cant budget a gamming pc and a PS3...their PS3 will be able to act as a cheap pc so it can play the games. But i thought most PC games are called "Games for windows"

The PS3 will playback the games as just as well as the computer can because it streams it. No magical video enhancement happens. if you have a **** computer, it's gonna look ****, if you have a good computer it's gonna look good. So it's not good for anyone really apart from people who havn't figured out you can use your SIXAXIS or any other console controller on a PC yet (For driving games and some other games) or the select few that would like to PC game on there TV without using cables running from their PC to their TV as it can be done via wireless with the PS3

I don't understand. Does it run it through it and allow you to use the SIXAXIS controllers, or does it just run throught it to get to a tv?

It's also good if your computer is upstairs like mine, and your 50" HDTV is downstairs like mine, and you want to play your games on the TV without re-wiring your house

Seems to be that a 120GB PS3 is coming out...Finally sony wants to match the Elites HDD capacity.

Well, the HDD capacity is what I care about least.

I care about the controls (PS3 wins), the games I like (PS3 wins), and the capabilities for later (I believe the PS3 wins here). That is why I like the PS3.

I reckon it's stupid how Sony keep releasing new models and then taking them away. I think they should have just had the 120GB, 60GB and the 20GB. 60GB PS3 ftw.

120GB PlayStation 3 to replace 80GB?
By Jose Vilches, TechSpot.com
Published: January 28, 2008, 10:33 AM EST

Last week we heard rumors that Sony would be permanently discontinuing the 80GB model of its PlayStation 3 console, leaving a single 40GB model in stores. But according to Ars Technica’s unnamed but fairly reliable inside sources, Sony is sticking to a two-model approach at retail with a new console bundle.

The rumored bundle will be packed with either a 120GB or a 160GB hard drive and a Dual Shock 3 controller, while keeping the same $499 price point as the 80GB model - No word on backwards compatibility, though. If the rumors turn out to be true, the 80GB console will be the third SKU axed in just over a year since the console’s release.

yeaa hamas thats where i got my info from. also on ign they talk about a 120GB Bundle thats going to have the DS3 with rumble. Tell me why i had a dream that my PS3 said it had a virus. thats sad :(

i have a 60gb ps3 and i am very happy with it, i have tried xbox360 and forza 2 and I THINK it is overrated (thats what i think).I got bored of racing it so a friend and i just drove the cars into walls and each other for fun(got bored after 20minutes).Just waiting for GT5 pro and GTA4 to become available for download in SA(GT5 pro),and then GT5.At the moment i just have dirt & F1.C.E as fillers till then.

it might of needed to be reduced, but if you don't have a quality pc you can't play it on it's highest settings in anycase.PC games are designed to run in multiple settings while PS3 has only 1 and doesn't need part upgrades. This is to MetalX's on the 1st page.

Bmfan. You can edit your previous posts to add more text instead of double or triple posting. Usually a mod will compile all the posts into one if they see it or feel the need. There is also a Quote option that will allow you to select text and quote it, like this.
PS3 = FTL.

Terrible system.
Terrible compatibility (FEAR had to have it's visual quality reduced to work on it even though it has more powerful hardware than a 360)
Made by a Terrible company.
Overall Terrible.

FTL FTL FTL!

Is that the post your post was directed at?

Anyway, Yeah games built for the PS3 are optimized for the hardware, resulting in games like Gran Turismo 5 which looks truly amazing. F.E.A.R. was just a port, the game wasn't built from the ground up for the PS3 and it's harder to work for games on the PS3 than the 360. The reason the visuals were decreased, i dunno. Maybe Monolith wanted to get it out at the same time as the 360 one or just cbf'd doing any real work with it.

I see you got a new avatar there. Developers can't make games that match the PS3's power and so thats why some games are not as good on the PS3 as they are on the xbox in terms of graphics.
If the game is made by Sony then it should be at 1080p if you have a 1080p tv. And it should be as clear as the game on the xbox if not slightly better..... I think, is that right?

I have already written on a post that i don't mind the wait ,because when they do games do come out they look fantastic,GTA4 and GT5 ,they are the two games i am really waiting for and after seen prologue and screenshot's and trailers of GTA4 i don't mind waiting at all.Great thing's usually take time

Yea it takes time esp when a system has only been out for about over a year. I believe that the games that are coming out this year should show the true potential of the PS3. When MGS4 comes out due to it is specifically designed exclusively for the PS3 then we shall see how great the PS3 graphics truely are.

Developing Code that uses the PS3 CPU and GPU to its maxium potential is something that has not been done as of yet. GTA4 got delayed due to the complexity of writing the code for the game on the PS3. Obviously the 360 is easy to make games for

FF XIII and GT 5 will show the true power of the PS3 as the console was designed so Square and Polyphony could get the best out of it.

The PS3 should start doing better because more poeple are going to have a hd tv in their homes and the PS3 upscales the games to 1080p. Also, blu ray is the future and so dvd's are going to be on blu ray and the PS3 is the cheapest blu ray player around.

I think it will hit big here soon for the same reasons. I hope MGS4 kills EVERYTHING out there...............

They will sell more, and you are partialy correct. But I think the real push is with the major studios going blu-ray exclusive, on top of Toshiba putting out flawed 3rd gen HD-DVD players people are going to buy the PS3 for blu-ray. The current gen blu-ray players aren't even compatable with the new blu-ray spec (2.0 maybe?), only the PS3 is. It really doesn't make sense to buy anything other than a PS3 for playing blu-ray disks. The only reason not to would be if you have a nice component setup and the PS3 wouldn't fit asthetically.

if you have a nice component setup and the PS3 wouldn't fit asthetically.

What do you mean by that? Is the PS3 HDMI only from the factory? I have component cables that fit all 3 next gen systems, unless you mean something different.

:p
