The beautiful thing about turbos is they behave very rationally around town, but as soon as you get the revs up and the turbos pressurize you get that very satisfying kick in the pants. At 450hp you have a vette-eater and with a body kit its a wolf in wolf's clothing.

No mountie in the world could catch ya!

LOL !!! mounties ride horses, i can run away in a beat up chevy.
its my first car so i dont think i would want that much power under my hood (oops... its the trunk in the mr2) although the vette eater is a little tempting, especially with one of my frendz bragging about getting his dad's 1980 vette. i can picture his face when my rice rocket wastes him down the quater mile

Get a Balzer Xtreme, they are way trickable. You can do so much with them it isn't even funny. Not to mention they are a badarse car (truck) to begin with. Not that I own one, or have anything invested in them *cough* *cough*

Check them out....You could always soup up the engine to do just about whatever you want. I have a cousin who threw a 350 corvette engine in his S-10, that thing hauls some serious arse.

I just wish I could own one of those nice looking automobiles...

Wow, missed out alot, well anyways leme answer a few questions.

And XTR-X, how would merly "strapping on a turbo kit cause this?"

I know, it sounded kinda weird because I started talking about type R, then GSR, then type R. When you get a type R, and want to turbo it, you cant just strap on the turbo kit, you've got to do internal work and reduce the compression ratio (hey might as well have a GSR).

doesnt one of the integras have 225hp? or are you talking about at the wheels. what do you mean exactly by "detonation"

Well, first, DLx/P explained detonation, and I don't pay attention to the hp in the four-door models, but strangely enough, the four door integras do have more horsepower, but you kill the sport look of it (if you don't care about it).

Also, as for turbos and supers, know what kind of application you will do. Also, when and where will you race? Stage 1/2 Street/Track, Stage 3/4 Track.

My friend has a tricked out S10, he said it's badass for the first few months... then you feel like getting a sport racing car. He keeps telling me that every day.

just wondering poertner, is that bel air in your avatar yours? if it is how much effort did you spend restoring it. if you restored that, you surely could give me some pointers on how to install a body kit...

I am in the process of restoring it. My dad and I are putting an 87 corvette underbody with it. Meaning it will take the 'vette engine and suspension, etc. We are also going to rebuild it from the ground up, but that is a while off.

I did restore the Blazer Xtreme I was talking about, I bought it totaled and rebuilt it. But as far as the body kits, I haven't dealt with them completely, my xtreme I just pulled off another one and flushed it up where it belonged. Sorry man.

i picked up an issue of modified mag and saw the sweetest MR-S. too bad they dont sell them here:( anyone know where a good place for summer work is? ive been thinking Mickey D's, anywhere else?

auto parts store.... good idea thanks! importfest is coming to vancouver soon so ill go their for some inspiration.

dont get an import. get an old domestic car. like a camaro, nova, chevelle, mustang, torino, charger, dart, baracuda. something like that. any of those would be a good muscle car that would make any import crap itself.
poertner, what year is your car? you going to put a new vette engine in or a rebuilt 350?

It is a '55, and I have already got the '87 Vette underbody attached to the frame, and it has been modified to accept the '55 frame as well as the engine mounts for the '87. It was kind of a pain to get setup, but it is coming together nicely now. Just waiting on some more funds to keep it going.

you see, my frend is getting his dad's '80 vette and says it will waste any rice rocket i would get. i jus wanna see the sad look on his face when my import wastes his vette that has 2x more cylinders and displacement. <g>

i misunderstood your last post when i posted before thats why i have to edit. hah. what engine will be in your rocket and how much horse power and ft. lbs. of torque do you think you will be getting out of it? and at what rpm?

by the looks of what has been posted here, i look forward to getting a 94-01 acura integra with a b18(?) motor. i also wanna do a jdm headlight conversion, jdm integra look so much nicer that those round headlights. i also like the mr-s, the look just like a porsche and from what i have read brakes 60-0 in 99 feet <g>. btw my other frend is getting his family's toyota previa, so even IF i get wasted by the vette i will rest assured it will be faster than a prev.
