Release notes:
UPDATES (3.5):
This driver incorporates fixes for the C++ runtime error associated with Windows ME, enables installation of the printer driver when an Iomega zip drive is installed, and resolves the issue of white lines or bands in the photos when printing with software other than the HP Photo Imaging software which shipped with your printer.
This driver will provide full functionality for the photosmart 100, 1000, 1100, 1200 and 1300 series printers in Windows 2000 and XP.
If you are UPGRADING from a previous version 3.3 driver, please follow the steps below in Section 1. If you do not currently have a version of the 3.3 driver, skip to Section 2:
Section 1 (Upgrade)
A) Make sure that your printer is connected to the pc.
B) Download the
latest driver to your computer Make sure to remember where you saved it.
C)
Go to the file and select it. It will unzip to the C:\temp\photosmart folder and
automatically execute the installer program.
D) When the blue install screen
appears, select "Install". If you do not see this screen, go to
C:\temp\photosmart (or wherever you chose to unzip it in step B) and
double-click "setup.exe".
E) The driver will search for your old photosmart
driver, uninstall it, and prompt you to restart your computer.
F) Once the
system restarts, the "Found New Hardware" wizard will appear. Make sure that you
choose to "specify a location for the driver" in the wizard and select the
C:\temp\photosmart folder (or wherever you chose to unzip it in step B).
G)
Follow the remaining on-screen instructions to successfully install your HP
Photosmart printer.
