Vongo, a digital video subscription and download service, could be made Mac-compatible soon, a Vongo executive has told Macworld. This presumes, though, a change of direction for Apple as regards their digital rights management, but it's likely to be on the cards.
For about $10 per month, subscribers to Vongo will be able to watch and download more than 1,000 movies and other content licensed by Starz Entertainment Group (SEG), the premium cable television network behind channels including Starz and Encore. The service also provides streaming television, access to extreme sports video and music concerts as well.
A check of the Vongo website tells visitors that Vongo is currently PC based, but will soon be Mac compatible.
