This is the first of many giveaways we have prepared for our readers for the remainder of the year. Thank you for your support.

Original story is below:
Good Old Games is just about that, reviving PC gaming classics. Having started with just two publishers and 40 titles backing them up, one year later GoG.com has expanded to include nearly 30 publishers and over 130 games, among which are such classics like the original Fallout, MDK, Duke Nukem 3D and many more -- priced reasonably between $5.99 and $9.99 for a DRM-free copy.

Good Old Games is just reaching its first anniversary, so we thought it would be a good idea to check back on them to see how things were going (and get more freebies for our readers, of course). We talk with the service's PR manager, Lukasz Kukawski as he comments on some of the challenges the service has faced, their DRM-free model, and a few other tidbits on the GoG operation.

Also... Don't miss our GoG giveaway!
Just comment here what game you would like to receive for free (check GoG's full catalog) and double your chances by mentioning any other PC gaming classic you loved back in the day, for nostalgia's sake [more info].
- We will randomly select 15 participating users and announce a winner on Sunday night (October 11).
- Double your chances by following on the conversation on what are your all-time PC game favorites.
- Winners will be notified via email. Only TechSpot community members can participate as we will use your account's email for notification. As always, you can register on TechSpot, free of charge.
- Don't forget to mention both the game you want to win, and any other old favorites.

  1. I'd love to win Heroes of Might and Magic 3!

Some games I love from back in the day, that I even still go back and play on a semi-regular basis are: Master of Magic, X-Com: UFO Defense, Transport Tycoon (in the form of OpenTTD nowadays), and Gladiator. I can go on, actually, but the list contains some insane amount of games and we'd be here all day :-)

  2. Game I'd like: Realms of Arkania 1+2

Game I'd like to play again: Crusader No Remorse

  3. Game I'd like to win: Heroes of Might and Magic 3: Complete Edition

Game I'd like to play again: System Shock

    GOG.com rocks!

  4. Game I'd like to win: IL-2 Sturmovik: 1946

Game I'd like to play again: Dungeon Hack

I was brought up on DOS games, they were some of the best times I've had.

  5. not available

  6. GOG are awesome!

I'd like to win is a one of the less obvious games: IL1946. It's a wonderful, comprehensive flight sim, and it would certainly make my gaming life easier to have it as a single download rather than 4 separate CDs.

The other game I'd like to see is Privateer 2. It ran horribly on my old P90, but I lost hours to it all the same!

  7. I'd like to win : The Incredible Machine Mega Pack, or Expendable, or Empire Earth: Gold Edition.

I'd like to play again : System Shock, Dungeon Keeper, Nox, Iron Assault, Arcanum, Thief 1&2, Blood 1. . that's all I can think of.

  8. I'd love to win the "Might and Magic? 6-pack Limited Edition" (http://www.gog.com/en/gamecard/might_and_magic_6_limited_ed
    tion)

The classic I'd love to see on GoG would be "Outcast" though. Brilliant adventure!

Too bad btw that you didn't mention the free games and the occasional discounts in this intro post, such as the weekly Hidden Gem or the deals they sometimes have with their suppliers.

  9. I'd like to win "The longest Journey"

One of the games I loved when I got my first computer back in 2001 was "The Nomad Soul : Omikron"

  10. I would like to win Realms of Arkania, and/or the Gothic 2 Gold edition. I am a nut for RPG's and have some very fond memories of playing Obitus on my Tandy 1000 HX way back in the day - having to draw out a map (no auto-map) made the experience that much deeper.

  11. I would like to win Heroes of Might and Magic Complete.

I would love to replay through the Fallout series, those were some great games.

  12. I'd like to win any game from the Fallout series.

I'd like to replay the Oddworld series.

  13. Game I'd like to win: Painkiller Black Edition.

Games I'd like to play again (and see on GOG): Grim Fandango, Deus Ex, System Shock 2, Planescape: Torment, Monkey Island series, Full Throttle

  14. Game I I'd like to win is HEROES OF MIGHT AND MAGICŪ 3: COMPLETE EDITION as this seems to have got lots of rave reviews on the site and I have heard a couple of my friends say they absolutely loved the game.

And a game I would love to play again is the Wing Commander Series, particularly Wing Commander III absolutely amazing!!

  15. Game I would like to win: Commandos

Game I would like to play again: Deus ex

  16. - Game I'd like to win: Evil Genius

    - Games I'd like to play again: Empire Earth Gold, Descent 1,2 or 3, MDK 1 & 2.. oh my...

  17. I'd LOVE to win: Tex Murphy: Overseer

    Manish Kumar

  18. Game I'd Like To Win: UT 2004

Games I Loved: I've already got a ton of games from GoG, but probably the one I'm looking forward to playing most is the new Commandos release.

  19. Game I'd LOVE to win: Heroes of Might and Magic 2

Games I'd like to play again: Neverhood, Toonstruck

  20. Game I'd like to win: Gothic II

Game I'd like to play again: The Thief series, the Black Isle games.

  21. I would love to win Unreal Gold.

I played Unreal Tournament back when it originally came out but I never actually gave Unreal a go, I would like to go back and try it because I loved the gun mechanics of the old unreal games.

I would have to say some of my favourite old games are the Monkey Island series and Doom series particularly doom 2. Though now after finding out about gog I have been able to play some fantastic games which if I had played back when they originally came out would probably take top spots near Monkey Island and Doom. A couple of these games are Beyond Good and Evil, I pretty much couldn't put this game down after playing for a couple of hours and really getting into it. Another great one is the Guild Gold, I've never played anything like it before but I'm hooked.

  22. I'd like to win Commandos, always wanted to try that game.

As far as favorite games of the past, I'd have to go with the Infocom text adventures.

  23. Thanks for gifting me Sensible Soccer 2006

game I wud like to play again = Duke Nuke em

  24. Game I'd like to win: Gothic

Game I fondly remember from the good ol days: Fallout.

  25. Game I'd like to win: The Incredible Machine Mega Pack. This is just too awesome for a pack.

Games I'd like to play again: Dungeon Keeper 1 and 2, Startopia, Lemmings, Baldur's Gate.
