After it was reported yesterday that LG's upcoming G5 smartphone will have an Always On display, the company has now revealed its official Quick Cover case for the device that is designed with the feature in mind.

The case has a semi-transparent, metallic-like mesh front cover with a small window so users can see the Always On screen's notifications, meaning you won't have to constantly open it up to check if you've got new texts, emails, etc.

The Quick Cover features the same touch-enabled function that was launched on the K10 Quick Cover View, so you'll be able to perform certain actions such as answering a call and controlling the alarm settings without opening the case.

LG says the case will match the look and feel of the G5, suggesting that the rumors will prove to be true and the smartphone will have a metal finish. The company didn't say how much the cover will cost, but we may find out when the G5 is finally revealed.

"Complementing the look and feel of the forthcoming LG G5, the new LG Quick Cover incorporates a unique film with a glossy metallic finish to enhance the smooth and luxurious look and feel of the cover."

LG is expected to officially show off the G5 on Sunday, February 21 at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, hours before Samsung reveals its new flagship S7 range. LG's device is rumored to include a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820, 4 GB of RAM, and Android Marshmallow 6.0.1.

With new details regarding the G5 coming thick and fast, there's every chance that we'll learn more about the device before it's revealed at MWC.
