The above three graphs look at hard drive performance using the SATA and USB interfaces. Futuremark PCmark Vantage shows no difference in performance when comparing the Asus Rampage II GENE to the Asus P6T Deluxe. CrystalDiskMark gives a slight performance advantage to the Rampage II GENE which is interesting. Finally we use SiSoftware Sandra to measure both SATA and USB performance. As you can see the USB performance is exactly the same on both motherboards with the average throughout set at 26MB/s.

The last test run in this section is the SiSoftware Sandra network performance test. Because the Rampage II GENE has a single Gigabit LAN controller it cannot post a result for the second test whereas the Asus P6T Deluxe can. However the Rampage II GENE does feature a PCI Express LAN controller offering maximum Gigabit throughput which can be seen in the results above.
