Memory Performance

The standard 3.20GHz configuration of the Asus Rampage II GENE ran DDR3-1333 memory matching the Asus P6T Deluxe throughput of just over 20GB/s. Overclocking the Rampage II GENE to 3.60GHz increased the bandwidth by 12% and then at 4.0GHz we gained another 3% bandwidth.

The memory latency of the Asus Rampage II GENE was also very good slightly better than the Asus P6T Deluxe.

The last memory benchmark that we are going to run is the EVEREST Ultimate Edition read/write memory tests. Again the Asus Rampage II GENE is able to match the Asus P6T Deluxe and in fact was slightly faster when running the memory at 1333MHz which is impressive. We also see decent performance gains when overclocking the Core i7 965 Extreme Edition processor.
