Benchmarks: SuperPI, WinRAR

Super PI is a popular test for measuring system performance (primarily CPU performance) and is another test that AMD struggles with. The new Phenom II X4 955 shows lagging performance even when compared to the old Core 2 Duo E6700 that only carries two cores operating at 2.66GHz with a 4MB L2 cache.

On the other hand, the Phenom II X4 pack performs well when testing with WinRAR, and while the multi-thread performance of the Phenom II X4 955 was only slightly higher than that of the 940, the single-thread performance was much improved.

The single thread performance of the Phenom II X4 955 was good, as it was just 9.5% slower than the Core i7 920. However when using multi-threading the Phenom II X4 955 was 23% slower than the Core i7 920, which makes use of Hyper-Threading.
