Although the Core i7 940 dominated Unreal Tournament 3 when using low quality settings, the results are quite different when using high quality settings. This is something we have found time and time again when testing the Phenom II X4 processors. The Phenom II X4 965 was just a single frame faster than the 955, but remained on top of both the Core 2 Quad Q9650 and Core i7 940 processors by a small margin as well.

The Crysis Warhead results are very close, with the Core i7 940, Phenom II X4 955, and Phenom II X4 940 all rendering 39fps. The Phenom II X4 965 was the only processor to break the 39fps barrier reaching 40fps.

Finally we have Far Cry 2 in high quality which appears to favor the Phenom II X4 processors. Here the Phenom II X4 965 was again just a single frame faster than the 955, but considerably faster than the Core 2 Quad Q9650.
