Interestingly, the Asus Crosshair IV Extreme used slightly less power at idle than the Formula, but it used considerably more under full load. Keep in mind we only stress tested the CPU and not the graphics cards and the readings were taken from the wall. Users should expect about a 5% power requirement increase with the Asus Crosshair IV Extreme.
