1680x1050 - High Quality

When running Absolution's benchmark at 1680x1050 on high quality with 2xAA and 8xAF, the game is surprisingly demanding. Achieving an average of 60fps is no easy feat and you'll definitely need a high-end graphics card to pull it off.

Something else you may notice is that the AMD's cards perform very well in this game, particularly the Radeon HD 7900 series. The HD 7970 averaged 68fps while the 7950 wasn't much slower with 63fps.The GTX 680 on the other hand managed 57fps, 16% slower than the HD 7970, though still very capable at this resolution. Interestingly, the GTX 680 and GTX 670 both delivered virtually the same results.

Those hoping for an average of at least 40fps will find the GTX 660 or HD 7850 adequate, rendering 41fps and 45fps. For a little more performance, the GTX 660 Ti did well with 48fps, while the HD 7870 was slightly faster with 49fps. Dipping below 40fps was the HD 6950 with 37fps, while the HD 5870 and GTX 560 Ti both managed 36fps. The GTX 560 and HD 6870 rendered 34fps, while the 6850 managed just 30fps.
