Some details have come our way concerning the roadmap for the next major release of Firefox, i.e Firefox 2. The Mozilla Foundation have revealed some details about their plans for this product, which include an Alpha release of their new browser some time in March of this year. There is also a beta slated for April. The final version of Firefox 1.1 is scheduled for June.

No specific details have been given about what Firefox 2 might include. But Goodger posits that some likely goals include improvements to bookmarks, accessibility compliance, and improvements to the extensions system, toolbar and software-update functionalities.
