2 microphones both named realtek

I have 2 microphones, one of them is my headset and the other is my well just a microphone. But both of my microphones are named as 1 thing "Microphone (Realtek high definition)". Both of the microphones are separate but my pc see's it as one microphone only taking in the audio from the most recently plugged in.

Unless you have two separate audio in sockets, then you will only ever have one 'microphone' as far your computer is concerned.

A standard 3.5 mm audio in socket is as basic as they come, so the system won't be able to the difference in the devices plugged into it.

Update the audio driver, try to re plug the device, it should ask whether you want to set the headset as mic in or mic out
