A Puzzle beoynd me!

ok i everyone my first post come in a time of disbelif. I have finished moving house and my 1st pc has a huge problem here goes

boots fine the suddenly restarts - goes back and tries again goes to screen choose last good mode etc No option works so i brought a new hitachi 160gb had from pc world ata (ide) and reinstalled windows hey presto it works after turning pc off following morning its corrupt this has happened over 10 times now i have to format the hd and reinstall i have tried a cracked copy of windows , my legit copy both xp home and pro and still the same thing everything works until i switch off and LEAVE the machine overnight. If i reboot anytime after i have installed say within 1 - 2 hours it still works fine so im lost as to whats wrong. it cant be hd as new my spec

amd 1600+ 1.4ghz
386 ram sdram i tink 128 + 256
160gb hd hitachi new
300w psu
15 inch lcd monitor

sound card pc world 5.1 surround connected but no drivers installed
1 100mb lan card
custom built case?

im guessing its gotta be a hardware problem as i have tried so many versions of windows any help would be great so to recap...

1- install windows works fine can access internet etc play games no problem even reboot pc if i want no crahes or bluescreen

2 - after leaving pc off ie on standby not at wall but windows sutdown correctly i try to switch on and wont boot into windows NO OPTIONS WORK

3- only when i formatt hd and reinstall everying is ok until the next shutdown

hmmm...Your power supply should be a little bit higher, maybe a 400 watt. But this would not cause your drives to corrupt. Have any heavy magnets around?

So basically, after you reformat and it works fine, but upon being off overnight it blue screens? and wont let you into windows in any way/shape/form?

its not pirated copy of windows i tried using one to see if my legit version of pro was corrupt but still nothing i hinting towards a hardware problem as i have tried different versions of the software yes one of them being pirated but still no avail and no i dont get a bsod it boots into windows then reboots only as far a windows loding screen then nothing
