AGP 4x card in AGP8x mainboard?

I am having to replace my mainboard due to a hardware failure. Due to lack of cash I cannot afford to replace the graphics card which is a GeForce2 Ti 64MB operating at AGP 4x.

Will my APG 4x card work in the new mainboards which are all AGP 8x?

It will work. The BIOS will automatically select 4x.
