Ive seen it working

the german nbc gigagames pc live program showed that .bsp map working with hl1 engine

they were actually playing it and the area was just like hl2 tech demo movie seen at e3

all the physics were there except for the gravity gun

Sorry but I hardly think that putting a map into HL1 is going to give you the Havoc physics model. I think that someone has spent a lot of time making a map to look like the tech demo... I'm going to remain cynical of this until it is proven. And then.. I'm not going to touch it. I owe it to myself to wait for the full game

I think that is only fair to yourself. It's kind of like Christmas presents from relatives, you still gotta wait until Christmas to open them, even if they sent them early.

Not in public I hope papa

I doubt there will be an official demo released, and I really don't want to spoil the whole story/plot development of the game when I actually get it. I don't want to be playing through and suddenly go "Oh, this is the level/section that I played through on that demo where the G-man does x, y and z and this creature drops from the ceiling etc... etc...". I'd rather just experience it as a finished whole as the development team meant for it to be experienced. For instance I wouldn't want to watch a film before it had been correctly edited and the special effects added

Arris> Agreed! I downloaded the D3 alpha, but never ran it... I found I would much rather wait until it was everything the developers wanted it ot be...

So this time I'm skipping the "hunt and download leaked demo" part, which saves me both time and diskspace, and just wait until it ships...
