Of course. For example, I am going to be in the first line for the F150 EV and will buy one IF it has the payload and towing capacity I need. Hell the only reason I don't already have a Tesla Model S is that I don't like the looks as much as I want in a car I own and a bare interior except for a center console touch screen is just so nerdy I couldn't stand driving one.

It doesn't mean I don't see a need or the necessity. IC cars are dying and it will be a pleasure if I can see it happen.

The earth has been far warmer before and it survived, we are still in a glacial period plain and simple, the earth is supposed to be warming up, it's all recorded in the geologic record, the plant bounces between ice she's or glacial periods, I wouldn't worry to much about it. The real interesting science for renewable energy comes from the work on artificial crude being done, in 40-50 years gasoline will be made from renewable resources like logging.

They are working on methods to make artificial gasoline or other crude by products from plant resources yes.

When ice is melting at an unprecedented rate it is NOT considered a glacial period and never has been. Even if it contradicts timelines.
