AMD's Vega 64 burns past the GTX 1080 Ti in Forza 7 DX12 benchmarks

It's literally just been one game. Once 3-5 more games come out being like this, then it'll get interesting.

Define "One Game". Watch AdoredTV's review of the Vega Liquid. It is actually a very negative review overall, but in In-Game benchmarks the Vega card actually managed to match a 1080 Ti in Warhammer and Civilization. Techspot found Vega also wins in Dirt 4.

So in reality Vega is competitive in at least 4 games at stock vs stock. Furthermore my UV+1105MHz Vega 64 matches the 1080 Ti in BF1, Metro, and Deus Ex. So you could almost say it is 7 games.

Look I am well aware the 1080 Ti crushes Vega in most games, but it REALLY isn't as clear cut as some people think it is. It does depend on the game, and the settings.

FP16, HBCC, and DSBR are still not used. Call me alarmist or whatever all you want, I see the writing on the wall...

Lol when you realised Nvidia win because 90 % PC game is NVIDIA SPONSORED title,, with big logo Nvidia its meant to be played xD,, u

No, Nvidia actually sends competent people to those studios. In case you've forgotten, Nvidia is actually a software company. ;)

Oh I see, this is being used to make a claim that whilst AMD might be worse now itl be better tomorrow. Getting pretty bored of this argument these days. Even when these claims have been true it hasn’t made the product a better buy. This site has made a video telling everyone how the 280x/7970 is now thrashing its competition in modern titles. I own 2x 280x, I agreed with the videos conclusion but that doesn’t mean the cards haven’t aged, they suck, I can’t wait to get a new solution and will be replaced as soon as Nvidia release their next gen. It’s like as soon as the AMD cards start to beat their competition it’s time to upgrade anyway. And let’s face it in that battle AMD were a lot closer to begin with and the card had an extra 1gb of VRAM over its GTX770 competition. Oh and it was cheaper.

Also, il laugh if Nvidia release a driver that give it an edge in DX12. It wouldn’t surprise me at all!

And I am tired of people saying that it is simply a "claim" that AMD will age better. How many times does this have to happen before people understand that this isn't a "claim", but it is a fact due to AMD consistently building forward-thinking architectures?

As you said the 7970 = 780 Ti now. Well the 290X = 980, 390X ~= 980 Ti, and the Fury cards = 1070. But then you might say "What's the point, they are old by the time they win?"

Except they aren't! The Fury is only 2 years old, and the 1 year old 480 is busing roflstomping the 1060. Heck even the 580 is on the heels of the bloody 1070! It won't even be a year before Nvidia is forced to launch the 2080 Ti to fight Vega 64.

The icing on the cake is that Vega costs $100-$200 less than the 1080 Ti (Even with current inflated prices). How anyone can justify paying 20% more money for a card that will soon be smoked by the competition is beyond me. This is before we even talk about the vastly superior Freesync or Nvidia's horrible drivers.

Lol, the most biased fanboyish comment I’ve read in a while. Not even the most biased tech bloggers are claiming that Vega is a better buy than a 1080 ti.

Oh and the 1060 is faster than both the fury x and the 580. Its also cheaper, cooler and more efficient than both those cards.

Furthermore I never said a 280x = 780ti at all, I said it beat a 770. It’s still quite a lot slower than a 970 and my mates 780 is definitely faster in pubg.

I’m done on this thread, it’s a shame that the cancerous AMD fandom are still in force spreading false facts and muddying the waters for consumers ever still. Especially after the diabolical flop (for gamers at least) that is Vega.

LOL you call me a fanboy and then say insanely fanboyish things.

You are correct most tech bloggers are snubbing Vega. But would you care to actually address some of the things I said? Or did the truth stop you from reading further?

Are you claiming the 1080 Ti isn't $750-$850 right now?
