I absolutely hate zero-tolerance policies toward those that had little to no intent. Everyone should have the opportunity to prevent mistakes from happening again. Apple basically made yet another example of how they care for no one.

You think Apple cares for you as a consumer, when they treat their personnel this way? Think again if you do.

Bending the rules, even if based on individual circumstances, is still breaking the rules. Just think of all the current national situations that wouldn't exist if we had just enforced the rules.

What an incredible marketing coup.
iPhone8's production run halved last week. An now every news channel has been pushing this story on their iPhone X.
Anybody verified that these people are real? or are they actors with fake social media accounts. Who's not to say that the engineer was about to retire anyway and the marketing dept. simply said here's a golden parachute if you take a fall.
Apple pulled off the best marketing anyone could have dreamed of and saved themselves several truckloads of money, by this massive marketing coup for their iPhone X.
