I'm sorry, I forgot that all iPhone users are executives taking home 7+ figures

I am not sure where to even begin to counter your assumptions. Why do you assume iphone users all make 7 figures? why do you assume that all iphone users use instagram? why do you assume all iphone users use facebook? I would say you are partially correct, but I would also suggest you would be partially correct as well by suggesting the exact same of android users. I would say you are partially correct, but I would also suggest you would be partially correct as well by suggesting the exact same of windows phone users. I would say you are partially correct, but I would aslo suggest you would be partially correct as well by suggesting the exact same of remaining BlackBerry users users. You mean playing candy crush and uploading pictures to instagram while checking your facebook?

I will try to slow down so you understand. You asked how to judge something if not based on specs. If everything was equal, comparing specs would be an ideal and easy way to compare and see which thing you are comparing would be better. However, as with almost most things in the world, specs are never 1:1 and cannot/should not be judged 1:1. This applies to smartphones. specs on speed, screen, ram, cameras, etc etc can't be compared as equal when going from ecosystem to ecosystem. IOS and WP are highly optimized with Android being not so much, hence the "MORE COREZ" approch from android makers such as Samsung and the like. Since you openly claim you are old school, the best way I could put it is like comparing it to cars... if a car (or truck) has 500 HP, does that mean its faster then a car (or truck) with 150 Hp? Does it mean it has more power at 5000 rpm? Does the 150 HP car (or truck) have 2.5X better milage? etc etc... judgements on specs alone never tells the true end result. Much the same as comparing anything really.I'll tell you, if you tell me what the hell that has to do with a smart phone.
Are you trying to take charge of this discussion with BS and pure hyperboly?
Which is why they have tools for benchmarking. So, until you have valid, equally measured performance statistics, phone vs. phone, can the nonsense.I will try to slow down so you understand. Did you lose the "quote" button in the post box tool bar? Because it's gone in my browser.Quote: "Which is why they have tools for benchmarking. So, until you have valid, equally measured performance statistics, phone vs. phone, can the nonsense."
Pull-eeeze, can the personal pronoun, "you". I'm making no claims whatsoever, in any regard with respect to "phone vs phone". The only advertising claims that still have me stumped, is why M$ never sued for Apple's "I'm a PC" campaign. The os does make a difference, even if you claim it doesn't. Easiest example is comparing it to a pc. Take the exact same PC build and install various os's (linux, windows etc)and measure the difference... the benchmark would be the same but usability and various actions/speeds for different actions are very different.
No, you have an Apple phone, and all the Android owners, proponents, protagonists, defenders, etc., annoy the living crap out of you, which you attempt to mask by going on about how funny these threads are.By the way, I am not arguing which phone is better, I am arguing AGAINST people claiming android is better, which would be dependant on what the individual finds important to them. Each phone ecosystem has its pluses and minuses. Use what works best for you and ignore the people who say android is "cooler".
I'm going to suggest the alternative, "bandwagon propaganda, delivered via mass hypnosis and constant repetition".Come on, guys, too much negative comments here..
In business that's what we called 'brand recognition' combined with 'good marketing'. Enough said..

As I've said before , I'm only in phone threads in an attempt to supply a laugh track.
You sir, are doing all that you can to prevent success in that endeavor.

So, with that in mind, I'm hard pressed to believe that iPhone owners are dedicated to task comparison evaluation of their phones, and believe that a great portion of them, own an iPhone, because they think it makes them cool.
At the end of the day, (speaking for me at least), this is purely a "pot calling kettle", nonsense ride to nowhere.
And I'm pretty sure you post in an attempt to lecture us about how it's only Android owners that think they're cool because of the phone they use. That's not exactly, "promoting world peace", or, "fighting world hunger".you are mistaken, at the moment, for the last 2 months I have an Android based handest... (i9300 if you wish to be specific) and have a couple dozen handsets which would included various models from each ecosystem. These are my experiences from actual usage. I am pretty sure you only post to get reactions since you never add anything to a discussion. I take neither stance to which is superior, but can say each has its strength. I don't know how thats a pot and kettle comparison for you but whatever. I know you will just keep replying, adding nothing but insult. As as a side note, I do not own an Android because this board says its cool, I own one for an app I need.

And I'm also absolutely certain I couldn't care less about your, "cell phone du jour".
As a guest replied earlier, Apple has, "In business that's what we called 'brand recognition' combined with 'good marketing'. Enough said".
Which is quite true. But, still doesn't "add anything to the discussion".
So, IMHO you post to right what seems to you to be a great social ill, (people thinking they're cool because they have an Android phone), using the overwhelmingly technical argument, "different phones do different things". Now, you already convinced yourself that, "God is on the shoulder of the righteous", in this battle for the hearts and minds of Techspotters and against Android mongers far and wide.
But face it, if you didn't like to argue, you wouldn't be doing it with such gusto.
Let's recap; you post to smartphone threads, to tell everyone how Android owners "think they're cool because they have an Android phone". A non technical aspect of cell phone ownership to be sure, which could easily be construed as troll bait. Then, you act all surprised and hurt, because you get the argument you were looking for in the first place.
Tell the truth now, wouldn't your time be better spent playing with the indispensable app that caused you to to buy an Android phone? Or better still, sitting behind a desktop with the same type app, and getting the same work done, in orders of multiples faster.?
I'm not hurt over anything. I just flat out enjoy trolling trolls....![]()

I am not saying you are hurt. I am mentioning that you get hurt too easy from your quote earlier "Then, you act all surprised and hurt", you are projecting what appears to be what you define as "hurt" and now you are claiming this is not something you would hurt over... You are the first person on techspot (and any other forum I have ever been on) that I will be blocking. You are 100% a negative filled person and from what I have seen you contribute nothing to any conversation I have ever seen you in. You say you are here to feed the trolls, but as I see it, you are here just to be cranky about a bad home life and wish to spread the misery around. I hope things get better for you, but at your (implied) age, this is who you are and this is the way you will stay. Have a great day.
I may be forced to pick up the 6 since I may switch to Sprint and I cannot transfer my locked phone.
Since I don't have a cell phone, I'm a bit apathetic about what the exact terms of the new phone unlocking law are. I would be, (marginally), interested in whether it applies retroactively, or only to new phone contracts. (Sometimes laws have a "grandfather clause", and sometimes they don't).....[ ]....As for locked phone, I do believe carriers have to unlock phones now here in the States -- are you in USA?
I was searching around but Verizon still has the better deal.Switch to Sprint? Really?
