I recently bought a HP Pavilion dv7-1279wm Entertainment Notebook PC. The problem that I am having is that when I play games and stream movies on netflix the sound seems to stutter and the video has a slight hiccup. The laptop is up to date on all drivers. The laptop has the following.

Processor Speed: 2.0 GHz.
Installed Memory: 4GB.
Memory Technology: DDR2 SDRAM.
Cache Size: 2MB.
Processor Technology: Intel Core2 Duo.
Installed Video Memory: 512 MB.
Processor Number: T6400.
Hard Drive Capacity: 500GB.
Included Drives: Multi-drive including LightScribe and Double Layer Support.
Graphics Processor: NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

DVD's play fine. I was using IE7 then upgraded to IE8 but neither one seemed to make a difference. However I don't think it would be a browser problem because it also affects games.

Oh, I thought you played games on netflix. Haha sorry for the misread.
I actually had a customer that had this issue with his video and it was due to overheating.

Could be a long shot, but try speedfan, which monitors your machines temperature and see if its jumping drastically in temperature while streaming

Is there anything else that it does this on?

Did you ever find a solution to this? I have the same laptop, and I'm not having any audio stutter, at least not that i notice, but i do get a graphics stutter in games and video playback.
