I'd have to say for the money you get quiet a bang for your buck.

I was wondering if any of you guys knew of any other great gaming laptops for the money?

Also check out CyberPowerPC; their custom-built PCs & notebooks are sometimes cheaper than branded ones.

FWIW, the ASUS laptop is the better pick of the two you've posted.

I want the Asus so bad. It's relatively cheap and has some of the best hardware in it. It's was even in the post above yours. Going to save up for it. I have a Qosmio; an older model; but a great computer for what it is.

The Qosmio line is pretty good; ruggedly-built and heavy-as-hell, but very reliable. My friend sold his old GeForce 6600-equipped 17" Qosmio some time back; it would only run plugged in 'cause the battery was screwed, but it ran most games and apps much better than most other newer laptops.

I wouldnt buy a glossy monitor laptop. You're moving a lot apparently and any place that has a light source behind you will become annoying.
