Let me clarify... the meaning of "redact" - from dictionary.com
to put into suitable literary form; revise; edit
to draw up or frame (a statement, proclamation, etc.).
to edit (text) so as to remove or hide confidential or sensitive information

So... to redact a story means you've realized that some part of it was incorrect (or sensitive/confidential) and therefore, the news company redacts it.

For a company NOT to redact any of their stories - especially ones that have been fact checked as being propoganda or outright lies - shows that THEY are the company that has no interest in the truth.

As for the Wall Street Journal... they are mostly accurate - but they do tend to lean right-center... and are fairly obviously pro-Trump...

I'm not defending anything... please re-read my comments... I'm replying to your amazingly off-topic comment (which itself was a reply to an even MORE off-topic comment) about how someone who doesn't trust the Wall Street Journal must be an anti-Trumper...

ALL news agencies have some sort of bias - WSJ is right wing, CNN is left wing... etc.... but when a news agency is wrong - and it happens to ALL of them - they redact or flat out retract (yes, there's a difference!) the stories...

That you claim the WSJ hasn't redacted ANY stories leads one to wonder... why? Since there ARE some stories that they've published with inaccurate information, wouldn't it behoove them to "redact" those?

The most glaring, of course, is Trump himself... he has made MANY completely inaccurate statements... but never admits them even after being proven wrong.... his interest in the truth therefore is....?

CNN is not "fake news" nor is the WSJ.... they all have political agendas, they all make mistakes... CNN's website tends to be pretty factual - it's their TV broadcasts that tend to be politically slanted, which is also a byproduct of having to fill 24 hours of live air time... I don't think anyone could be factual 24/7 if they were mandated to do that.

I'm a Canadian and really couldn't care less about how Trump was screwed out of the election (he wasn't) or whether he spouts lies whenever he speaks (he does).

It's pretty easy to fact check anything you want nowadays... maybe pick some examples of something Trump has said and start researching before you rush to defend him?

Well, Amazon trucks add to the wear and tear on our highways, already crumbling. Amazon does not pay a sou in taxes. In effect, Amazon is getting a subsidy from all of us to deliver the goods. It is not likely that Amazon or Walmart, our two biggest employers, are going to move their businesses elsewhere if required to pay federal taxes. It is high time to revise the tax code so that corporations pay their fair share. For too long have corporations been getting a free ride on taxes, adding to the serious gap between the haves and the have nots. Let corporations scream and holler! How many are prepared to move their businesses elsewhere, away from the most lucrative US market?

Probably, because they don't habitually (as a news team) have to recant, rescind or correct their reporting, nor would they do so on a webpage, 3 days later. Essentially, perpetuating and letting their lie stand throughout the weekend... like Jeff Zucker got caught on tape saying.... then pulling the story back mid next week... because headlines stick with people...!
