Bitcoin's big mystery: who created the virtual currency system?

If you want to believe you can "mine" ones and zeros off some a**holes hard drive, you go right ahead.
What I want explained is what the ultimate goal of making a PC process 24/7 actually is.
  • Is it scientific research?
  • Is it a Botnet?
  • Is it simply a waste of processing?
I personally can't see any value in a currency, if there is no gain to be received. There has to be value other than the desire to gain BC's. Being able to exchange $ for BC's only maintains the dependency on real currency.

For centuries man believed the earth was flat.

Around the time of Salem, they believed in witches.

Last century,. an entire generation hung on Adolf Hitler's every word.

Fast forward, to the "shock and awe" of not finding any weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.

So, in general like to believe things, it's a lot easier than disputing them.

But what I'd like to know is, "how could the term "work", possibly attach itself to mining bitcoins"?:D

If you want to believe you can "mine" ones and zeros off some a**holes hard drive, you go right ahead.

You can't cash those for food at McDonalds either.
You have no idea what BC's are or what mining is, do you? Especially not if you say such dribble as "If you want to believe you can "mine" ones and zeros off some a**holes hard drive, you go right ahead."

And you still have no clue: if I can buy a burger at a BBQ stackhouse in Salt Lake City with BC, why would I even think about stepping into a McDonalds...

Its like, Either a physical commodity or a physical body backing the currency that provides a sense of security to the users .
