Boots for half a second or so...then...stops and just blinks.

Yep...

Just a bought a chaintech 7vif4...same processor AMD athlon XP 2900...


If I press the button it will turn on for a second or two (fans will spin and everything) then they will stop spinning but the light on the front will stay on...screen doesnt come up or anything...

At first I thought it was an overload of the power supply...but I took out the graphics card and the network card...so it cant be that...

Any suggestions?

Sounds like a bad motherboard or chip.

thats the last thing I want to hear...what would bring forward these suspicions? And if it were one of these how would I determine which one.

Just a note...I put the AMD k7 back in...and the same thing happens...I guess that rules out the processor?
