Bringing out the sound

hey i've recently bought a hp dv5000t laptop. i plan to buy a PORTABLE speaker but not sure which to buy. i searched the google and the names that keep coming up with good reviews are :

1. altec lansing xt1(below is link to product spec)

-do u guys have any other recommendations? i dun really have any budget but i prefer PORTABLE speaker

**for those of u pros, mind sharing with me how to choose a speaker? what to look out for in the specifications?

being a logitech fan id go with the v20, try also looking to see if Creative sell any portable speakers?

I've tried reading reviews about logitech. What i found is that most logitech speakers have too much bass. The bass usually overwhelms the music or vocal sounds. This occurs on the V20 too.
