Hi Team

Please help me! Laptop with nothing new installed in a long time, right after windows starts it goes to a BSOD.

The computer will start and run fine in safe mode but not safe mode with networking without the BSOD....

I get this stop error:

0x0000000A 0x400005E1 0x00000002 0x00000000 0x804D9B64

Please!

Thanks!

Harley

0xA errors are caused either by hardware or drivers attempting to address a higher IRQ level than they should resulting in BSODs.

1. Since it runs in Safe Mode there is a strong possibility that you are looking at a driver issue such as your NIC card.

2. You might be infected.

3. You also might have RAM issues.

Can you link us to your laptop? Did you allow Windows to do any updates recently? Also, please tell us the security software you are running and if you are behind a router.

if you do not have your firmware/BIOS updated it can cause a bsod. it can also make it where if you go into standby and try to come out. The hdd and fan will start back up but your screen will not come out of standby. So try to update your bios and stuff. Another thing you could try is to go into the BIOS and reset to defaults.
hope this helps.
good luck...
