Can't install SP2 after using validation crack on test pc

I builded a test machine for some things to try. I installed WinXP Pro with SP1 on it. It had a illegal Windows XP key.
I wanted to try out Windows Media Player 11. So I downloaded a torrent with a validation crack for Windows Media Player 11. I opened the registery key and activated it. When I try to install Windows Media Player 11 it said that it required SP2 to be installed. Now when I try to install SP2 it can't install. It stops when he is checking my product key. Anyway to fix this without a reinstall of WinXP Pro.
