Compaq deskpro no 2nd HD detect

Hi,

I recently installed a 2nd HD on my Compaq deskpro pIII-450. The bios sees it, but doesn't recognise sectors etc. and i can't type them in manually. Win 98se doesn't detect the 2nd HD at all. Does anybody have a suggestion what to do. I could not find an update for my bios either.

What HD is it? Maybe it is too big for your computer?
