Complete lockup

Ok I've tried all the tests that was listed on here to find this problem but all tests pass.. The problem is when I am playing a game, Windows locks up. I completely reinstalled a fresh copy of Windows with the same result. My "old" verison of XP that has all driver updates on it does the same thing.

Now here is my question, where is the CPU temp suppose to be operating at?

It seems to me that the problem could be a bad CPU by via when playing a CPU intestive game. The computer also locks up when writing cd's too..

Seems like a hardware probem as far as i can tell, with the info you give. Although you should be carefull when u replace parts, because it wouldnt be the first time that i have seen problems like this caused by a bad ide/sata/scsi cable.

Also, some motherboards have some kind of auto-overclocking feature. You might want to dig a little deeper in your bios settings.

Try to get a hold of pc-doctor on a bootable disc/usbstick and do the processor tests.
