Computer freezed!

Hi everyone. I'm in a great trouble! Each time i run an application software which uses quite a large amount of resources, like window media player, divx or antivirus software while it is scanning, my computer get freeze after 1 or 2 hour and sometime less!!

I have win98 Se, 128mb ram

Please, can someone help me!!!!

I would recommend more ram and upgrading to Windows XP. You could try to do a disk cleanup and defrag, optimize your startup programs and prevent what you don't need from starting with Windows.

if not the ram, the system needs a good overhaul. That or a new system. FYI, windows 98 is no longer supported by MS.... not that it will stop you! Just suggestions

You can see if you have any malware hiding there, by visiting the Security and Web forum and reading the notice post there first.

Turn off any other programs in the background.

Defrag and a good cleanup as mentioned above will help
