computer freezes during BF2

alright... just bought a radeon 9550 256mb video card so i can play new games and everything looks great no lag during game but after about 20 minutes sometimes less it will freeze up and the monitor shuts off and either "no sinal" or "mode not supported" will show up. i also bought a new monitor so that parts ok. i am currently running an amd athlon xp 2800+, 1023.5 MB of RAM, running on winows xp. i dont know if its overheating or just not gettin enough power. i also have the latest catalyst driver. HELP ME

Yea, I don't think that gpu is supported (has support for the certain 3D grahics). Experienced the same thing with one of my old gpu's a few years my with one of my old radeons.
