Dvd rom

I notice no mention of a HDD, is your HDD not IDE, if it is, try disconnecting and reconnecting the power and ribbon cables on it. It doesn't take much to make it lose proper connection which can cause a variety of problems; from slow access times, to mimicing a dead HDD.

After trying that, you might try barebones booting.

Thank u StromBringer for your reply
But i unpluged the DvD rom and the system booted up so that was the problem maker.
thank u

It's good to hear you got it all sorted out now. Maybe try making sure it was set to master/slave properly, and the cables were secured properly. It still might be able to be used, just make sure it is setup ok.

BTW  Welcome to TechSpot
