i just bought a new hp dv5190us which includes

Graphic card: NVIDIA GeForce Go 7400 with 128MB discrete graphics.

my question is: how do i check if it really is 128MB

i tried going through the following steps:
1) right click at desktop
2) settings tab
3) advanced button
4) adapter tab

at the adapter information, it says :
memory size : 512MB

so is it really 128 or 512??

512MB is how much RAM you have not how much memory is on your video card. If you want to see all of your system stats go to
Start--Run--then type dxdiag
If prompted click yes..When the window pops up click on the display tab and it should tell you everything you need to know in there.

Or if you do not want to do that you can go to Start-Programs-Accessories-System tools-System Information. When the window loads click on the Display category. Your video card RAM will be like the 5th thing down on the list under "Adapter RAM."

Hope that helps....
Cheers

Wow I just read all the way through your previous post...sorry kind of jumped the gun. That is weird that it says your memory size under the adapter tab is 512MB. Do the dxdiag method and see what it says there. I am curious.
