Nvidia to unveil RTX 5060 Ti next week, rumored prices are good news for gamers

How in the world are these prices "good news for gamers"?! Is there an editor in the house?

Didn't y'all spend the last 2 years complaining, and rightly so, that the 4060 Ti was an awful-value product, even at those measly discounts???

Tariffs or no tariffs, shortage or no shortage, $380–430 still is too much for this GPU class, especially since the generational performance uplift will likely be utter garbage.
Yes...I notice that editors on here do not understand the use of "/s" in their headlines.

I know what /S means. But you werent being sarcastic?

Im curious, what do you think will change? And whats so bad about the market?
Re-read my post. It is very clearly sarcasm. I think nothing will change this product cycle in the market for GPU’s.

If you also don’t understand what’s bad with the current hardware market, I suggest you fire up Google for some research.

Without going into a big rant, it’s basically scalped prices, deliberate stock limiting (creates false scarcity) and in Nvidias case especially, less performance gen on gen for significant price increases.

So basically, you lack even the most basic understanding of how tariffs work.
I know they don't work. I suspect Trump will soon begin to understand that too. How happy are Americans to pay inflated prices on everything not made in America? How long will it take America to train staff and build all these components locally? Are Americans happy to earn the same wages as Chinese workers? Then due to the smaller market and higher staffing costs, will Americans be able to afford these locally produced products?

You're right, I don't understand how these proposed tariffs will work.

[edit] I should also of asked what sort of company would invest $billions in creating a new US businesses building electronic components to simply meet the requirements of a president that changes his mind on a weekly basis?

I wish the author had been sarcastic, but even the body of the article reads, "If accurate, the leaked pricing is good news for gamers." This is where an editor would step in to have the "good news" part edited out.

Are you joking? what's so bad? like skyrocketed prices arent bad enough for you? you should have added /s yourself in that sentence (or maybe you work at ndivia)

If this crazy prices continue this is my last PC Build, and will do all my gaming on a console.

Anyone buying a new 8GB GPU in 2025 deserves to be ripped off.
I wholeheartedly disagree that anyone would deserve that. There are many, many uninformed people (through no fault of their own), and that's whom Nvidia is targeting.

What we should do is spread the word, not blame-and-shame uninformed consumers.

I do, however, fully endorse calling out half-hearted journalism and Nvidia shills and simps who pollute the internet with misinformation.

I am so excited to pay more for these GPU's that would have been sold as a 50 level SKU last gen. Paying more for less benefits everyone when these probably have 4080 performance (Source: Nvidia). /s
Well, don't buy this **** then? Don't understand it.

If people don't accept the prices, they get lower and that's that. :)

At least that's what I do.

You’re the 3rd person in this thread to swear at me for buying the GPUs and being “part of the problem”.

The post was sarcastic, hence /s at the end. I was taking the ****, so wind your neck in.

Skyrocketed prices? Sounds like a product that people want! Sure high prices are bad if you dont want to pay them. But that doesnt make the product bad.

Why do you feel Nvidia should sell you their product for less?
