Consumer technology revenue declines Black Friday week

Consumers were all about saving money this Black Friday, so much in fact, that technology revenue dropped on-year during the week according to NPD. Total revenue for the busy shopping week was just over $2.7 billion, a 1.2% decline from 2008.

Odd - with the exception of flat-panel TV's, every other category showed significant increase over last year. Yet a 1.2% overall drop. (shrugs) I don't get it...

The report basically suggests that while more items were sold, their low prices resulted in less revenue than last year.

There is a bit of ambiguity between volume and revenue, so I apologize.
