Destiny 2 beta hits PC, underlines a difficult choice

eh.. aim assist.. what non-sense. like bowling with bumpers. perhaps that's why the people like it the controller on pc. It's not that they play better, it's that they have a handicap which helps them play better.

Aim assist?!? .... oh the horror...

Ok ok I take it back! Seriously though just having some servers that hosted games with players from both platforms would be cool... might even convert some console players after they realize how superior kb/mouse combo really is.

I got bored of the first Destiny very fast. Probably within the first month and a half I was down to playing it maybe once a week. I just never really enjoyed the way it played and I really dislike console shooters playing at less than 60fps. The controls just felt "fat" in my opinion.

Now the Destiny 2 PC version. Night and day difference. Playing it at 144fps with v-sync enabled is just amazing. The game looks great and plays so smooth. The gunplay just feels so much more natural. I am a PC and console gamer, but I'm a PC gamer at heart. I had no intentions on playing Destiny 2 after my experience with Destiny 1, but this PC beta has really changed my outlook on the game. I haven't pre-ordered it because I'm a little weary of pre-ordering games these days, but I'm definitely considering it after trying the PC beta. It's just incredible at how much better it is on PC than on a console locked at 30fps and using a controller that makes me feel like I'm playing with my hands soaked in a jar of honey.

3 things wrong with the game.

1: It uses Blizzard's Real ID system and shows your real name ingame with no option to disable it.

2: Gun models are stupidly huge and there's no way to reduce them.

3: They said it supports ultrawide, and it does with proper Hor+ FoV scaling, but some of the menus render Vert- and cut off the 3D portion of them.

Aside from that, I think it feels too much like a CoD version of Borderlands (and the humor isn't to my liking either). Didn't really enjoy my sample of the beta.
