Difference in colour between logo and background - apparently they are the same

The logo on the entrance bit is totally differnet in colour to the background. (Keep pressing stop until the redirect passes if you want a closer look). I made it on photoshop with FFCC00 and i have set the background bg to ffcc00. Why is the logo bg darker/
