Disk partition not open after virus removal

after removing virus from a partition i am not able to access it,explore it.when i double click it shows message "disk is not formatted". i try many thing like autorun.inf removal ,disk heal,smart virus remover but nothing works.
OS:windows xp

this virus must have corrupted the DBR, if there is files on this partition, you need to recover files, after that, reformat this partition to use
